How to edit default text in skin, or is it in template?

Postby CrlyWrly » Sun Mar 18, 2012 8:05 pm

Hi WillyP if you are around,

Feeling very dumb as I have read the FAQs the Basic Guide and searched the forums and I still cannot work this out.

In the Business02 skin I have found the "fieldset" for "Notes", for example, and can see how to edit that title, but how do I edit the content?

http://skins.nucleuscms.org/browser/business02

<fieldset><legend>NOTES:</legend>

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat.
<br />
[+] <a href="#sitename">Read more...</a>

</fieldset>

The same goes for the other fields.

My site is here:

Do all the skins use "fieldset" or would I find I needed to look for something else if I used a different skin?

Or is this a template thing??

I was hoping Nucleus would be simpler than Wordpress but I'm not so sure now ;-/

Apologies if the answer to this is somewhere really obvious.

Best wishes,

Liz

Glad you found it... looks like you site isn't finding the skin files now?

Various skins use different methods to put content into the different parts of the skin. There aren't any hard rules about naming files, or even using files for that matter. You can open the skin parts from the admin area and see what files are included. That should give you a clue where stuff is.
