Need help with Dropshadow skin

Postby thegi18 » Fri Sep 19, 2008 9:13 pm

I'm using the Dropshadow skin and need some help configuring it. I'm 90% there, but still have a few things I can't seem to figure out. Tried the forums here for a while, but to no avail. Would be happy to pay someone to make a few fixes.

The blog is here: http://www.thegilmancompany.com/blog. The problems I'm having:

1. Right navigation does not wrap properly (goes to the bottom - IE and FF)
2. Footer does not line up properly (FF)
3. Title margins are random (IE and FF)
4. Content goes to far left margin (IE)

Aside from this forum, you can contact me via seth@thegilmancompany.com.

Thanks,

Seth

Here is what you need to do.

In skins/dropshadow/sidebar.inc, append this to the end of the file:

Code: Select all

</div>
</div>

In your Nucleus admin area, go to Templates and edit the dropshadow/short template. In the Item Body field, insert this at the very end:

Code: Select all

</div>

Now go to the Skins in the admin area, and find the row for the dropshadow skin. Click the edit link and then edit each skin part (Archive, Archivelist, Main Index, Item Pages, Member Details, Error, etc...). In particular add remove </div> tags directly before the "<!--sidebar.inc-->" line, as indicated:

Archive: Remove 1 </div> tag
Archive list: leave alone
Error: Remove 1 </div> tag
Main Index: Remove 2 </div> tags
Item Pages: leave alone
Member Details: Remove 1 </div> tag
Search: Add 1 </div> tag

This should do it.

If you're dying to pay someone, you can pay something to my wife's paypal account: The account is under her yahoo.com mail address. The username is antruscott

Indeed you are a Nucleus Guru. Right nav is in place and bottom footer is perfect (IE and FF). Title margins are also perfect (IE and FF). Any suggestions on addressing the left margin content issue in IE without effecting the current perfection with FF?

I'm very appreciative and will be making a donation shortly (from my fiance's account).

Thanks.

I was too lazy to check it in IE. I see the issue. I'll take a look at it tonight. I've got a full day of kid's soccer ahead of me first.
