List of Japanese Nucleus plugins

Postby roel » Fri Oct 06, 2006 10:32 am

Next to the list of plugins on the English wiki, the Japanese community also maintains a list of plugins developed by Japanese Nucleus users:

http://japan.nucleuscms.org/wiki/plugins

There you may find plugins providing the functionality you were looking for. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for these plugins here on the forum. But do post here if you managed to figure the usage of a plugin out, or translated one. Thanks!

There is a decent list over there, some of which have found there way over here through the forum and/or the wiki. As we figure these out, can we add them to the wiki with links back to the japanese sites for download and credit. Some seem easier to figure out than others. For instance NP_GoogleMaps has a decent forum thread over here, but isn't in the wiki.

I'm probably going to take a look at the NP_TimeStamp and NP_UpdateTime plugins because I think they keep track of and display the last time an item was updated. Someone was asking for that over here a couple weeks back.

I'll play with a simple, cute and clever little plugin called NP_MemberOnly.
The plugin allows you to put tags in your posts that will display contents to just logged in members. For instance, if you want to post a picture of your new baby for your site members to see, but you don't want it seen by the internet-at-large, you type this in your post:

Molly had the baby and both mother and child are doing well. <p />
<mo>Little Cindy was born at 4:40 AM on Monday, October 2, 2006. She's 21.5 in and 7 lbs 8 oz. Cutest smile in the world. See here <img src="/media/common/firstpic.jpg" alt="The baby" /></mo>

Will look like this to a non-member:

Molly had the baby and both mother and child are doing well.

And like this to a logged-in member:

Molly had the baby and both mother and child are doing well.

Little Cindy was born at 4:40 AM on Monday, October 2, 2006. She's 21.5 in and 7 lbs 8 oz. Cutest smile in the world. See here

To use it, just download it from here : http://kimitake.blogdns.net/item/336
copy the NP_MemberOnly.php file to your nucleus/plugins directory and install it from the admin gui.

now when you write your posts, put the <mo>...</mo> tags around whatever you want displayed to members only.

The biggest problem is that it leaves your pages non-compliant since there are illegal tags left in it for members. If this seems interesting to anyone, I would consider making it html-compliant and perhaps add an option to show something to only non-members. For instance, The password is <mo>4coolppl</mo><mox>a secret for members only, sorry.</mox> would display 'The password is 4coolppl' to members and 'The password is a secret for members only, sorry.' to non-members.

We're going to centralize plugin download to the wiki. It'll ease finding and help avoiding downloading older version from the forum.

Hello. Everybody of community. I say yama of the member of a Japanese community.

This is an output of the translation software.

NP_ImageManager0.9 has been improved. This is work of Mr. kosugiatkips.

http://japan.nucleuscms.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2670

1. Files other than the image can be up-loaded. The <%media%>tag can be used.
In this case, all files are improved though the up-loading of files other than the image is possible if IMConfig['validate_images'] of config.inc.php is originally assumed to be false. In this remodeling, the extension is checked.

2. If the file of extension ".gif" is set up in the media/icons directory, the file type icon can be displayed in a thumbnail replacement about files other than the image type.

3. The file name can be changed. Path can be specified and it move.

4. Cancellation of super-admin trouble in safe mode.

5. Addition of Japanese lang file of dialog etc.

6. A thumbnail size was reduced a little, and the file name was displayed.

7. A thumbnail display size can be adjusted by changing config.inc.php of $IMConfig['view_size'].

Hope in the future.

1. I want to make the image understood whether actually used by the item.
2. The option to decide whether to admit the deletion of the file used is set up.

Thanks.
:)
