Ah I see, thank you for the clarification. I've just done a quick check and picked up a few interesting things. My Nucleus blog - http://sostudio.us/ - also does not get picked up in Google Blog Search My Wordpress blog - http://leng-lui.info/ - does get picked up. It's also newer than my Nucleus bl...

I think the link is: http://roomforitalian.co.uk/blogitalian/testblog.php

It looks like you wanted to put the login form in the green header section than below it. If so, can you post the actual code you put into header.inc? We can then help you through in more detail. :D

Can you clarify what you mean exactly by "Google search" and "blog search"? Are items you are posting in Nucleus and the actual Nucleus site appearing in the Google search results at all? Or are you having a problem with the Nucleus search function?

It looks like some of the css from default_right.css got missed. This is what you should have (note the padding line): #header { background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #669966; font-family:Times New Roman,Arial,sans-serif; height:80px; margin:0 auto; padding:0 20px 0 30px; width:100%; }

Thanks for posting the suggestion. I have updated How can I make cookies work for both www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com? as well as added more links to that FAQ from Why does Nucleus keep asking me to login? in the "Further Reading" section.

For #1, I'm guessing you don't want the actual comment ID in the whole Nucleus database, but rather a number in front of each comment for each blog item so commenters can refer to other comments specifically, right? In which case, you don't need to fiddle around with any php at all. Simply customise...

Your URL configuration looks strange to me - why is there a "//" in the URL? Can you check that you have set your URL configuration correctly? Maybe this is why Nucleus is stripping out the front part of your URL? How are you posting your links? Are you typing out the full URL or are you u...

I'm amending the login format, so the label and input field are inline, like so Username:[input_field] Password:[input_field] ie one under the other. However as 'username' and 'password' have a different number of characters, the input fields do not line up. Any ideas as to how I can fix the alignm...

Hi there, Thanks for including Nucleus in your list. I had a look over what you have filled out and it looks correct. The only thing I would suggest is under features it is made clearer the things included in the core installation package are: multiple blogs and multiple users with a lot of extensio...

Also confirming there are no errors for me when I had a look just then. I assume you solved it by using special skin parts instead within Nucleus, rather than using external pages. May I also say it's a very nice job you've done with the site. I like the warmer color tones you've used for the Uncomp...

Are you using any plugins or just the default <%categorylist%> skinvar to generate the category listing?

What is the code you have in your skin or which skin are you using?

Round 3: Customising Functionality

In this section, I am looking from the end user perspective only. The things I believe are important to an end user are when looking for plugins: ⋅ Ease of finding the things I need ⋅ How easy is it to install once I've found it ⋅ How reliable is it and does it really d...

Hrmm...if that is the case, I suggest contacting Suvoroff the skin author (his contact details are in the readme.html). He is generally very quick to respond to emails, particularly if it is regarding his skins.

Thanks for posting the code, could you also post a link to your site? Skins are always easier to troubleshoot if I can mess around directly in Firefox with the Web Developer or Firebug extensions. :D

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's true that Nucleus has a much smaller user base and so there is 100% reliance on the goodwill of the plugin and skin authors, the developers and the whole community to pitch in and provide support on a volunteer basis. For example, ftruscot spends many, many hours n...

There is nothing wrong with the skin itself, I have checked both files and they are structurally intact. The error is caused by nothing being imported in the skin import process, which leads me to think this is because of some parsing error or encoding problem. Can you try this and tell me if it mak...

Round 2: Customising Appearance

Nucleus: It took me about 5 minutes to get the Stylized skin up and running, from downloading the .zip file from the skins site, unzipping then uploading it to my /skins/ directory using an FTP client , importing it and changing my site to use the new skin . Of course, I also acknowledge that I am ...

Round 1: The Installation Process

Nucleus: When I did my first Nucleus installation, I had no idea what a mySQL database is, what PHP is and what to do with any of it. I somehow followed the default Installation section in the Nucleus Manual and got it working but I remember it took me a long time to figure out all the steps. Since...

You are missing a closing div in one of your templates or in your skin. Taking the first item as an example and see my comments in bold : <div style="clear:both;"></div> <div class="postmeta"> <div class="postmetaleft"> <p>24.04.10 | by <a href="index.php?memberid=...
